Sisters of the Cusmanian Diaconate

The Association of the Sisters of the Cusmanian Diaconate was erected by the Superior General of the Sisters Servants of the Poor, with the decree of December 4, 1997, as another mission  of the Congregation of the Sisters Servants of the Poor, according to the norm of the Code of Canon Law nos. 303 and 677 &2 , in foreseeing the future erection of a secular Institute in the diocesan right.
The Association of the Sisters of the Cusmanian Diaconate has its scope the sanctification of the members, in which they dedicate in the charitable animation of the society, in the secular condition, according to the spirituality and the charism of Blessed Giacomo Cusmano.
The members, who are unmarried women, desirable of sanctifying themselves in the total service to God and to the Poor, who remain in the secular life and assume with private vows the evangelical counsel of chastity, poverty and obedience, work to impregnate with charitable spirit the human reality where they live and operate.
